Driver Frequently Asked Questions:

Q) Am I paid by the hour or by the mile?
A) Your pay may vary from mileage to hourly depending on the assignment. The pay method will be discussed with you prior to your acceptance of an assignment.

Q) How much will I be paid?
A) Wages also vary from assignment to assignment and will be discussed with you prior to your acceptance of an assignment.

Q) When is payday?
A) Payday is each Friday following the week you work. Payment will be made by Check or Direct Deposit.

Q) Do you have benefits?
A) YES! ProDrivers offers a comprehensive benefit package including:

  • Vacation Pay

  • Holiday Pay

  • 401K Savings plan

  • Employee participation Health Insurance Plan.

As a driver, you start accruing vacation and holiday pay the first week of work, you are also eligible for our Insurance plan immediately.
 

Q) How soon after I fill out my application I can begin working?
A) ProDrivers is fully DOT compliant and must complete the necessary steps prior to hiring a driver. This process may take 48 hours or longer.

Q) What kind of work will I be doing? (Vehicles, lifting etc)
A) ProDrivers offers a variety of assignments with varying work and vehicle types. Work can range from local pick-up and delivery, which may require driver un-load, to drop and hook. Details and expectations of assignments are discussed with you prior to your acceptance of an assignment.

Q) Is this Local or Over the Road (OTR) driving?
A) The choice is yours. ProDrivers offers a variety of assignments from Local to OTR and Line-Haul and there is no forced dispatch.

Q) What type of company is ProDrivers?
A) We are a full-time driver staffing company that provides Qualified and Professional CDL and Non-CDL drivers for transportation related companies throughout the country.

Q) Can I expect permanent work?
A) The choice is yours. ProDrivers offers full time, part time, temporary and temp to hire. If you are looking for permanent work, we match our customer's needs to the driver's compatibility.

Q) Can I work 40 hours per week?
A) Depending on the assignment it is possible to work 40 hours or more per week. On most assignments, anything over 40 hours will be paid at time and a half.

Q) What companies will I be working work for?
A) ProDrivers services a large variety of customers from national to local. Details of these companies will be discussed prior to assignment.
